Starting March 3rd, 2025
This four-week program is designed to support indigenous and non indigenous participants in recovery from substance use helping to increase self-awareness, emotional resilience, and practical coping skills.
The information covered will help participants to gain tools to manage cravings, process emotions, and reach their substance use goals.
Key topics covered include:
– Wellness & Self-Awareness: Explore the four domains of wellness: physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional.
– CBT & Thought Patterns: Learn how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence substance use; recognize maladaptive thinking and practice positive self-talk.
– DBT Skills for Recovery: Develop mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation to manage cravings and emotional triggers.
– Empathy, Self-Compassion & Forgiveness: Cultivate kindness toward yourself and others while letting go of past mistakes.
– Resilience & Emotional Processing: Strengthen the ability to navigate stress, fully experience emotions, and reframe negative narratives.
– Relapse Prevention & Future Planning: Identify community resources, support systems, and coping strategies to maintain long-term sobriety.
By the end of the program, participants will have a personalized recovery plan with clear goals and practical tools to help them to sustain their progress and confidently face future challenges.
