“Our Story” with Nokomis Mary Elliott – For Allies & Non-Indigenous Partner Organizations

In the spirit of reclaiming and revitalizing traditional practices in the earliest stages of life, the BANAC- Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin Mobile Maternity Team invites expressions of interest to attend a Traditional Parenting Workshop with respected knowledge keeper, ​​Nokomis Mary Elliot. This opportunity is part of a Regional Mobile Perinatal and Reproductive Healthcare Pilot Project, in partnership with the Women and Children’s Health Network. It aims to build capacity in the region as recommended in “Sharing our Stories, Strengthening Community Understanding of Our Children’s Health, 2018 Needs Assessment with the IHC, GBGH, and OSMH-Birthing Program, led by Saint Elizabeth FNIM Program.
