Foot Care Clinic – Diabetes Management

BANAC- Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin is excited to share that we have partnered with Biminaawzogin Regional Aboriginal Women’s Circle (BRAWC) to offer this Diabetes foot care screening and education event being held on Friday September 11th , 2026 during lunch 10:00am-4:00pm. This is an in-person opportunity for regional Indigenous community members who want to learn more about diabetes prevention, with a “healthy feet” focus through education, foot care clinic and self care sessions.

- Grab bags provided to attendees while quantities last
Over lunch, a presentation will be shared designed to help individuals who are living with type 2 diabetes make sustainable lifestyle changes, focusing on healthy eating, physical activity, but primarily on self-management strategies to prevent or reduce further complications of diabetes (Focus: Kidney, Eyes, Foot Care, Blood Glucose/A1C).
This workshop has been designed for both front line workers supporting those living with diabetes as well as for community members who want to learn more about proactive care.
