SUMMARY:Addiction Support & Education Circle Series
DESCRIPTION:The next cycle of our Addiction Support and Education Circle is set to run February 3rd to February 25th\, 2025 from 10am-12pm . It will be a daytime offering. \nThe Family Day holiday is a Monday in this cycle. The group will not run on that day. \nA friendly reminder that the program is for those who are in the Action stage of change with respect to their substance use. They will have a goal that they are at least starting to work on. We ask that participants to discussion and interact respectfully with other members of the group. \nThe program remains virtual at this time so participants also need to have the technology\, wifi access and enough tech savvy to join meetings by zoom. They also need to be able to ensure a private space for the confidentiality of other members. \nWhile we really want participants to attend the Peer Support Group (PSG) as part of this program\, it can be difficult with it being at a different time than the program itself. We continue to strongly encourage attendance and we now have three groups; the original PSG (weekly)\, one for those who identify as Indigenous (weekly) and a monthly Women’s PSG. \nTo refer\, please provide the central referral number listed on the flyer. Central Referral is located at Mamaway; after the initial basic information gathering\, clients will receive a call from a facilitator who will complete an Intake and provide all necessary details. \nClients can contact our Central Referral to register at 705-721-9554
