DESCRIPTION:Monthly virtual Moon Lodge \nA safe place for women to come together to share their life experiences and embrace the teachings offered by Grandmother Renee and the knowledge shared by Sarah Connors\, Naturopath & Indigenous Doula. And it will continue to occur the Third Tuesday of every month\, 1-3pm. \nWe will be aligning our Moon Teachings with our endocrine system (how the body relates to nature). What this means is\, we will focus on different areas of the body each month with focus on caring for one’s self and as always Sarah will share her knowledge to use Traditional Medicines to support that par to the body. DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by Bridget Foley\, of Babaamaazkonenjike (Guiding Light) Counselling Services \n3-part series to learn about Indigenous pathways to a healthy relationship with food. \nThe series informs participants on how to feed the body\, mind and spirit to achieve wholistic body wellness. \npre-register here: https://survey.alchemer-ca.com/s3/50567841/Relationship-with-Food-Series-pre-registration \nBridget shares her personal weight loss journey\, utilizing both Western and Indigenous Knowledge. Bridget struggled with obesity and weight related health issues for over 25 years\, trying a variety of fad diets\, exercise regimes\, medications\, and weight loss surgery\, with no long-term success. Bridget turned to her traditional teachings and practices\, along with weight loss counselling\, where she finally found the tools to heal from her unhealthy relationship with food and sustain healthy weight loss and body wellness.  This journey has inspired Bridget’s path to being a helper and the development of Indigenous pathways to a healthy relationship with food.
